Types of diffusion camera filters

Diffusion camera filters are widely used by movie makers and portrait photographers because of the finer image attributes. These filters have the ability to diffuse the light to improve a facial appearance by diffusing the light of adjacent scenes and subjects without disturbing the quality of the filter. Circular camera filters can be used to diffuse faces to see the eyes with a glowing effect. These circular camera filters have a set of concentric circles that are etched on the surface. The concentric circles further pattern themselves by bending the light in a better and efficient way than a net finish. This is often achieved by aligning the center of the circular pattern with the subject’s eyes. The rest of the image will automatically integrate and exhibit the diffusion effect.

Center-Spot filter is a variation to the circular camera filter. This is a special effect filter that can give a moderate amount of diffusion effect surrounding the central area. Center-Spot filter are commonly used to isolate the main subject from the background.

Another portrait diffusion camera filter is the one that use small “dimples.” These dimples are round or in diamond shape. They are capable of selecting the diffusion in a better way than the fine mesh type camera filters. These dimple-based portrait diffusion camera filters can efficiently hide all the fine details within the clear space. Portrait diffusion camera filters are a better choice than the circular camera filters.
